Transamerica Life Insurance Company remains committed to you and to the long term care insurance market. As such, it's important that we modify our premium rates for new TransCare^® II business to reflect actual claims experience by policyholders. These rate changes will also maintain consistency in our pricing across our product portfolio which will allow Transamerica Life Insurance Company to remain highly competitive within the marketplace.

These refreshed rates are exclusively for new sales of TransCare^® II in the states of North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana and will become effective on May 3, 2018.

Discount Updates
At Transamerica we are always looking to improve our product line to better suit your client's needs. Therefore we are pleased to announce for the states of South Dakota and Montana the spousal discount will increase to 30% for married couples who are applying for identical benefits together; and 15% for spouses not applying.

Application and Disclosure Package Updates - North Dakota only
There are new application (TLC-ABCAPP-ND-PKG 0914 [001-TCII]) and disclosure (TLC-SDN-ND-PKG 0218 [001-TCII]) packages that must be used beginning May 3rd. Old applications submitted after May 2nd will be returned.

Individual/Couples Deadlines
To receive old rates, applications must be signed and received in good order by 9 p.m. CT on May 2, 2018.

Worksite Business
For all worksite groups already approved under old TransCare^® II - 2012 rates, open enrollment must be completed by July 1, 2018 in order to receive old rates. If group open enrollments are changed or extended for any reason, applications received after July 1, 2018 will be subject to the new TransCare^® II - 2016 rates.

Service Group Request Forms (SGRs) and all other required worksite documents must be submitted in good order by May 2, 2018 to receive old TransCare^® II - 2012 rates. Open Enrollments associated with these groups must be completed no later than July 1, 2018 in order to get old TransCare^® II - 2012 rates. Open enrollments requested beyond July 1, 2018 will be subject to new TransCare^® II - 2016 rates.

Association Business Deadlines
For TransCare^® II Association Business in the states of North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana, all applications must be both signed and submitted to the home office by 9 p.m. CT May 2, 2018 in order to get old TransCare^® II - 2012 rates. Any application received on May 3, 2018 or after will receive new TransCare^® II - 2016 rates, without exception.

Previously saved quotes on TransQuote^® will no longer be available starting 9 p.m. CT on May 2, 2018.
