Included in these new rule filings:

The employment security department shall adopt criteria, procedures, and rules for verifying the information submitted by the applicant for an exemption under subsection (1) of this section.

  • Notice of CR-101 filing

The department has filed a CR-101 to consider rules implementing Substitute House Bill 1732 and Engrossed Substitute House Bill 1733 that were passed into law during the 2022 legislative session. The department will consider rules to implement portions of the bills regarding the delay of the WA Cares program and new voluntary exemptions. The new voluntary exemptions are for individuals who live out of state and work in Washington, military spouses, workers with non-immigrant visas, and certain veterans with disabilities. Additional rules may be considered as needed. The CR-101 can be found on the program’s rulemaking webpage, where draft rules and meeting notices will also be posted.
